So my best friend from high school's 21st birthday was this past Wednesday...wow. We became best friends when I was barely 16 years old, and I couldn't ask for a better one. She's pretty awesome...I'm just saying. We've been through a lot of fun times together...

And on June 11, we'll have one more thing to add to the list......My Wedding (yes, I do think that it is important enough to deserve capital letters)!!! Last night I asked her to be one of my bridesmaids and she agreed! I made her a "Will you be my bridesmaid" card and everything. I'm so excited to have my best friend there with me on my special day, and I can't wait to go through the planning process with her!! Thanks again, K =)

A Vintage Backyard Wedding

So, it is settled...on June 11, 2011, I will be getting married in my backyard. And if I must say, I am super excited about this!!! Honestly, what could be a more ideal place for a southern girl to get married at???  I want the whole feeling to be laid-back, casual, homey, vintage. Is that technically a theme...a laid-back casual homey vintage wedding??? Hmm....maybe I'll work on the title. As you can see, I may not know a whole lot of specifics at this point, but I do know a few things......

A Wedding Blog

In order to keep everybody in the know, I am creating a Wedding Blog!! I will be writing about the decorating, the shopping, the DIYing, the good times and the bad times (not that there should be any bad times about planning my wedding...just more stressful times....). I want to keep everyone up-to-date about all the wedding bliss, and also ask for advice that anyone may be willing to give!! I don't know if I will actually survive the planning stage, but I do know that at the end of it all I will be Mrs. Darren Townley!!!! =)
